Hitch controls on a WD45.

I recently bought a WD45 and haven't been able to raise/lower the 3 point hitch. The loader works great, so I'm assuming that the hydraulic pump is fine. Should the 3 point hitch raise/lower with the loader or is there a separate control lever for the hitch? The hoses and hydraulic arms on the hitch appear to be in good condition.

not to sound like a fool or anything,, but did you try using the lever on the steering quadrant? The one opposite the throttle,,also maybe yours has a shutoff on the hyd for the loader,, mine does,,, looks like a water valve,, shut that then use the lift,,open it for the loader,,Jim,

Is your loader plumbed from the remote cylinder out let? If it is drop your loader to the ground and unhook the hydrolic coupler from the loader. The snap coupler arms will probably work. I do not mean to insult you, but unless the tractor is plumbed a certian way, it will feed oil to one ----OR---- the other, and not both at the same time. Be sure to be careful as if the tractor is in the raise mode and you unhook the coupler, the snap coupler will resopnd extreemly fast. Dave NE IA

Have you tried putting some weight on the arms to get them to go down, if could be that the lift hasn't been used in a long time and the rams for the lift have some dirt/rust on them, making it hard for them to go down.
