Has anyone ever built a home made three point lift for the C allis.

I have a rock shaft and my question is what lenght lift arms to use. Should I use two cylinders?

Where is a good spot for the top link?

I was thinking of mounting the top link on the rock shaft. Just looking for any advice to help out this project.

some of the aftermarket units have small lift arms and the bracket mounts on top of th edraw bar loop.--- ai bought two arms at the local farm store, probalby for a 8N ford. I think they are 30 or 31 inches center to center. i mounted a 4 x 4 steel angle iron about 1/2 inch thick from final drive to final drive case and used the 4 tapped holes in drive case to hold the angle. welded two pockets to the angel to hold the two arms pointing backward. they area bout 26 inches apart. --- have a 1.5 inch heavy wall pipe mounted side to side at back of fender mount on the seat angle frame. the pipe has 4 brackets welded to it. one one each side 26 inches apart to lift the arms below it. one in the center for the top link, and one between the top line and one lift arm to attach the cylinder to it. other end of cylinder mounts to the 4 x 4 angle iron below trans.

send me an e-mail and i will forward a couple photos. i no longer have the C, but have a somewhat similar setup on an IB. if you are familiar withe the "worksaver" setup of 3 point, my upper arms, rocker arm, cylinder, and mount look very similar. what i have done is remove the drawbar and install 8N ford type lift arms to a special bracket under the final drives. you can see the upper lift arm- cylinder setup if you are familiar with the factory lift system put on the later B or CA tractors. just add the long bottom lift arms to the factory SC setup. Steve, I have a 3 point similiar to worksaver but not the same cylinder. Due to the AC high pressure/low volumn system I have great lift but takes a week to go down. Got any advice on lift cylinder size or hyd connections?
