I bought my first AC at an auction a couple of weeks ago. when the hauler brought her home an I went to drive her off the trailer It took awhile to get her in gear it drove fine until I tried to put it in reverse I could not find it. is this common? I have not taken the shifter out yet. if I need a replacement can anyone tell me where I can get another? the shifter is kinda at an angle I own some farmalls an deeres an I had a farmall H that I had to put weld on the end where it had wore. I really like the sound of my AC.

The problem on the AC is the same as your Farmall H. Add some weld or maybe replace the shifter. You should be able to find one in the bone yards because the engines usually were made of a porus cast and caused problems and more often than not cracked causing them to be junked..

without seeing the tractor, It sounds like you could have a bent shifter fork.
