I was wondering how hard engine parts would be to find for a 1930 model U tractor. I'm not familiar with allis, however I am a Case and Green man. I want to be an allis man though. Any help would be appreciated, and where to get the parts. Thanks.

Martin, there is a man by the name of Larry Swenson, Easton, MN 507-787-2338 that maybe can help you with parts. I am assuming that the 1930 model used the Continental engine rather than the UM engine made by Allis. The UC used the same engines but after 1934 or 35 both the U and the UC used the UM engine. I am told that parts are not cheap. I have a 36 UC hi-crop but I haven't started restoring it yet. I can't blame you for wanting to be an Allis man and I congratulate you on your conversion. Good luck.
