I owned a d15 II which has a trip bucket and the bucket is going bad. i would like to convert over to hydralic loader is this possible. It only has at present 1 outlet for the trip. How do i go about doing this and does i need to find a allis loader or will other works Thx

THIS HAS BEEN ASKED SO MANY TIMES, AND IN MY OPINION, I THINK YOU SHOULD ADD A PUMP OUT THE FRONT AND MAKE IT LIVE WITH A JOYSTICK. I KNOW THE ALLIS HYDRAULICS ARE LIVE IF YOU USE THE HAND CLUTCH, BUT THAT IS NOT VERY USEFUL FOR LOADER OPERATION. THE OEM PUMP IS A HIGH PRESSURE LOW VOLUMN PUMP, IT WILL LIFT ALOT OF WEIGHT, JUST DO IT SLOWLY. AS FAR AS HOOKING UP THE BUCKET, YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO GET SOME CYLINDERS AND WELD SOME BRACKETS ON THERE TO MKAE IT HYD DUMP. I AM SURE SOMEONE ELSE WILL DISAGREE WITH ME, BUT ALLIS WAS BEHIND THE TIMES IN THERE HYDRAULICS.

I don't know when Allis realized their error in the low volume high pressure hydraulics. But it was probably years and years before they actually made the switch.

I agree about modifying the existing loader. I just did that on my loader tractor and the total cost came to $200. The extra pump makes it a lot more convenient to use but, it bumps the cost up a bunch. You can get by with the Allis system. If you stay with Allis, be certain the cylinders are small - I'd say 1 1/2 max diameter. It is tricky to get a full dump with small cylinders because they don't come very long. I managed a full dump with 10" stroke. 10" or 12" should be available in 1 1/2.
