I need rear tires for my d14 but don"t want to spend a fortune. My rims are rough but will work. Are there any rims to fit these that are 28 inch? Thanks

You can't put 28" rims on your D-14 wheel centers. I'm not sure of how to make the switch. WD and WD-45 were 28 inch but the wheel centers have a different shape. I don't know about the bolt hole pattern, etc. If you need to change the wheel centers and the rims, I doubt that you'll end up with less out of pocket money (good wheel centers and rims will run a fair amount of money). I'd keep shopping for tires. You could watch Ebay and try for a used set. Look for a place that sells farm tires with the word Co-op in their name. Usually have the best prices.

I've run in to a problem about like yours. I have a 28" hub and rim (I think from a WD) on one side and an original 26" on the other. I found out why they made the switch to a 28... the PRICE!!! The cheapest 26 tire that I have found is about $380 a piece but the 28's are about $186. I'm not sure why the difference.

This week, a friend has found a pair of hubs for a Case 420 (I think) that will work with the Allis Power Adjust rims. There are a lot of different manufacturers that used that same set up. Case and Massy Furg. are a few that come to mind. You may scavage through some salvage yards and see what you can come up with. In my case, it is much cheaper to replace everything than to stay with the 26" set up.
