Allis D-15 ???

Going to go look at a D-15 tomorrow and would like to know if they have any problems to look out for?? It has a broken spindle so I know that will be a little problem but I can live with that one since I know it will not be hard to fix. Is there any other problems common to the D-15??

There were some differences in the D15 series. I don't know if it would matter to you but in 1963 the engine was upgraded from a 149 cu in to a 160 cu in. This gave the little tractor considerably more power which was appreciated at the time. It was called a D15 Series II.

Check the transmisson by putting it in gear and the popping the clutch. If it doesen't jump out of gear you are alright, if it does,,trouble. New gears are expensive, but livable if you can work it yourself and you want a good tractor which the D15 was.

The spindle should not be hard to find in a salvage yard.
