I have early 50's WD with a WD45 head setup. Have aproblem with the 3 -point lift. It's up all the time. When I try to lower it, it will go down about an inch, that's all. Anyone have any ideas on what to look for?

My first guess would be that the linkage is set wrong. Re-set the hydrolic linkages per the owners manual. Proper setting makes a world of difference

Is your traction booster turned on all the way (I don't know if a WD have a traction booster) On my D-19, If the three point is down, and I turn on the traction booser all the way, the 3 point comes up. Just an idea.

Jim, I can't help you but hope someone can. I have a John Deere MT with the exact same problem. At idle and with lots of effort, I can push it down, but it comes righ up again. I think it is a valve leak. Just haven't found the time to look at it yet.
