looking at a fiat allis 11B dozer. is this a fair machine for personal farm use? how is it to operate, as my son would be the operator. price range on this dozer? would also like to know the year model ,as the seller does not know, may be in the 80,s serial # is 25L18391 any comment would be appreciated. THANKS To All

An 11B is a pretty big machine, about 22000 pounds (11 tons) - depends on what your plans are - do you need a machine that big and/or do you need to be able to move it - a 6B at about 13000 pounds would be a lot easier to haul around and more in touch with my idea of general farm use - about same size as a Deere 450 series. Would dearly love to have a nice 6B instead of the Deere 450C I have now, but you use what you have and the 450C is at least haulable. Could be worse though like a 16B. From all I hear they are all good machines, just bigger are more expensive to operate and parts more expensive. Best. Ed

My books show this serial number as a 1974 model.
