Just bought a B and need some info...

This is the first Allis I've ever had and I'm not very familiar with how the lift works. It has two one way cylinders attached to the arms in the back and it all works. I just can't figure out what I'm missing to make it complete. Is there another piece to go along with the arms? Is it similiar to an IH fast hitch? If anyone has a picture of one with a piece of equipment attached, I'd really appreciate seeing it. Also, where would be the best place to locate a set of front mount cultivators? Thanks guys.

On this site, some time back someone had posted a link to a 3 point for a B. Am thinking was about half a year ago. I meant to write it down for future use, thinking of adding one to my B as well, but it and adding hydraulics isn't a priority for the little B, but would be nice to have. Then I didn't. But, if you search through the archives here, bet can find it. I'm sure it's there, pictures and all. Might be under hydraulics, but probably 3 point. Hope that helps.

Go to archives and search for AC B 3 point. Under Allis Chalmers, is item #195 dated 10/12/04. It's a link to a company that manufactures them, but has a good view.

the ALLIS hitch looksd like an upside down 3 point. under the transmission there should be a big bail or hook with a housing around it. the plow or disc would have a long arm about 4 ft sticking out in front with a round donut on the end. the donut plugs into the bail under the transmission and pins in position. your two arms connect with chains to the disc or plow to raise it up.----- --- you can also put a standard 3 point hitch on the tractor by installing two arms on a fabricated bracket to the final drive housings, or an A-frame type assembly with the donut on the front of it. you present hydraulic actuated arms are then chained to the new lower longer arms that are teh bottom of the 3 point. you fabricate a top mound under the seat area.

Thanks, are the implements for this type hitch hard to find? I'd like to keep the tractor original but I still want do some work with it.

hitch is called a Snap Coupler or SC. implements are available, but not cheap. post a note on AllisChalmers dot com and ask for a photo. tell the guys where you live and ask who has implements. someone will help you.
