I located the old lady who is willing to sell me her dead husband's road grader. She's asking $300.00 but I don't know if it's worth it. Picture found under "tractor photos" same name.
What's you say????

its worth it. these were commonly called road patrol or road maintainer. yes. based on a WC tractor. when fixed up nice it is about $3000.

Where in La - if you don't I will. $300 is a bargain even if its stuck, it looks pretty complete. Most parts are interchangeable with WC. Exceptions are front end, wheels, and of course grader gear, but if those are there and in decent shape, its restorable; if not the parts that are good are worth $300. I'm in SE La and would be interested in seeing it if you decline it. Best. Ed

Their out there, the one I had an eye on was being hauled away a couple weekends ago. I asked the fellow what was her asking price and was told $125.00. My guess is that's pretty good. Motor was locked up and no brakes but she was all there and 90% original. I'm no tractor man but if arhtritis in my knees hadn't put me down I'd now own it. I used to as a young man tackle that with ease but not going on 57. That's a good project if done properly.
just thought you'd like to hear about it.
