I am considering selling my 1953 Allis CA and wanted to know how much it is worth?

The tractor is complete and has very little rust, has new rear rims (cost me $500 3 years ago), good rubber, rebuilt generator, but is missing a battery & tool box cover. It is a NF and has a nice L59 woods mower on it. The motor is solid but burns oil, hydraulics work fine, and all 3 lights work.

I am the 3rd owner and also have a plow & field cultivator that goes with it. I have had it since March 2002 and it has been reliable the entire time.

I have 2.5 acres to mow and it takes me 2 1/2 hrs or so to mow it as I have 30 trees to go around. My fathers Zero turn can mow the same space in 45 minutes and I think that I would rather have the extra 1:45 minutes each week to spend with my family and get done with my mowing faster.

I do realize the ZTR will not last 50 years, but right now I can live with that decision.

Thanks for any help you can give me!

I agree with oliver. CA"s are worth just a little more than B"s or C"s because they are little harder to find. If the hand clutch works, add 200 bucks to what ever price your thinking of. It"s even harder to find one that has a working hand clutch.

I think you are looking at between $1200 and $1800 dollars.

When we bought our 1952 CA Chris from YT gave us a good way to determine the price he figures if it runs at least $1200 if the tins stright you figure about $1800 and if your hand clutch works figure about $200 more like the other gentelmen said we are actually rebuilding our hand clutch on our CA now. If your selling the hole lot and your carefull you can get a really good price out of it like i said in your thing on the main page right above this one have seen them go for about $3000 on ebay! OH and BE VERY CAREFULL their has been someone going around picking up tractors and giving you a check and the check is no good and your left with a crapy piece of paper so just watch out for those guys! Good luck - Tyler

Thanks Guys!

The tin is in very good shape and the hand clutch works like a champ (great feature that allows me to keep the mower going and stop the tractor or switch gears)

I appreciate your help with this. From what I heard I might try to list the tractor for sale. I will have to wash it up and get some pictures of it before I list it.

I don"t think I will do the ebay route right now. It makes me a bit nervous :)
