When I was a kid, Grandad had a new WD and I loved it. Just being around one again brings back a flood of memories. However, sentiment is one thing, money is another. I've found a nasty looking but solid example - the engine is rebuilt and has a WD45 crank D17 sleeves I think he said, 12 volt conversion, alternator, new exhaust including manifold, a big AC front loader he says will lift a ton, pto box, snap coupler (it's a '53). The tires look like they were salvaged from the Titanic. The rear wheels came from some combine, they are not the adjustable originals. I don't like the tire and wheel situation, but boy does it start and run great! I can prep it for paint and shoot it orange, I'm a long-time car nut, so that doesn't scare me. Does the loader and the engine work justify the $2000 asking price, or should I keep looking? How hard to find are rear wheels?
