Broken cylinder sleeve, can it be saved?

Need advice from all you experts. I just bought a WD parts tractor. It has a chunk broken out of the #4 sleeve at the very bottom. It is about 1/4th around and about 1 1/4 inch up and on the right side as you face the front of the tractor. WOuld it run this way? If thats not a good idea, could I rotate the sleeve so the chunk is facing forward would it work? Lastly, if I could get a replacement sleeve without spending a fortune I would prefer this if anyone knows a good source. I'm in SW Missouri.

When it comes to re-building it, I would put a WD-45 Crank and Matching 4 1/8" sleeve kit in it at the same time.....ups the HP to nearly 50 horse... A stock WD is around 35 I think.. With that, you can Really tell the difference..!!

Wild Bill, How can i email you? the screen said your email was hidden or not given. I might be interested. I'll try to start tearing it apart this weekend. I still havent checked the crak to make sur it is still usable but it looks ok to the eye.

For the price you CAN BUY AN OVERHAUL KIT, I WOULD REDO THE MOTOR. If not, you can buy a new sleeve from the local dealer at a fair price
