pulled the dipstick on my d-14 and found the oil to be the color of a latte and just as frothy. could this be what is causing the thing not to move??? you can hear the transmission engage but the thing will not move. Help!!

IF ITS BEEN COLD IN YOUR AREA, THERE COULD BE WATER FROZEN IN THE GEARBOX PREVENTING IT FROM TURNING. BOB

Thats what you get when you mix oil and water. But no that's not what is causing your tractor not to move, that's another problem. Water in the oil will cause your tractor not to run pretty soon though. You've got to find out where the water is coming from and take care of the problem. Then start looking at clutch problems for the "won't move" situation. Better check and change all the fluids while you are at it.

just changed the oil in the transmission, and cannot find the source of the water. tractor still will not move, runs great.
