ALLIS DIDN'T USE PRIMER AT THE FACTORY. THEY USED PAINT WITH LEAD IN IT AND IT DIDN'T NEED PRIMER. THEY ALSO PAINTED MOST OF THE TRACTOR AFTER IT WAS ASSEMBLED. REMOVE THE HOOD AND YOU WON'T FIND PAINT ON THE REAR OF THE GAS TANK, ETC. GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR B. I HAVE 4 OF THEM. BOB

There used to be a great "book" on AC B and C and CA on this site - entitled "The Little A-C's" - it still shows as a link but I couldn't connect - it was a great piece of work detailing the tractors - best I've seen on distinguishing / discussing history, etc.
