I want to remove the oil pan from my D-19 gas tractor. The power steering cylinder is blocking the access to the front pan bolts on the RH side. Do you have any suggestions on how to get to these bolts to remove the pan?

Thanks

Thanks fella's. That is kind of what I though. I am going to try and end a wrench that will fit in over top of the steering cylinder, but thought there might be an easier way that I overlooked.

What I remember about replacing the oil pump years ago on my D-19 is that we had to drop the front axel and then take the front shroud, radiator and front pedistal off to be able to drop the oil pan. An I&T manual may show you how to do that.

As far as I know you have to seperate the tractor. I have worked on a few 19s + 17s and I never found away around it. Seams like I was able to get in there with a woble socket, but the pan can not clear the front axle, so you have to cut her in half anyway. I always thought AC dropped the ball when they designed this area. Sure would have made things alot better had they made a small change. I have seen a few, that guys have taken a gas ax to the front Axle to be able to drop the pan and put in bearings. When they are done, it really isnt pretty.
