D12 series II w/traction booster

My D12 series II has the traction booster hydraulic
setup with the traction booster valve removed. The
small pump outlet, which goes to the traction booster inlet, performs no function other than completing the circuit as it stands now ,with the traction booster valve assembly gone. Could this
small pump outlet run to another valve such as a 4 way?

THEY ARE A VERY LOW VOLUME, HIGH PRESSURE. WILL PICK UP A LOT OF WEIGHT, JUST SLOW IN DOING IT.

I think the D12 and D10 are exactly alike in this area. I have a D10. The rear most section of the hydraulic pump is the one that feeds the traction booster valve. I perceive that it is very low volumn, hence, not good for anything that requires volume.

My thought was to run to a valve which would be
able to angle a rear blade right and left for snowplowing.

Don't think you'd be happy. Your D12 has a dual spool hydraulic control doesn't it? One spool controls the lift arms. Connect the other to a quick coupler and run the ram on the blade with it. Withouth some plumbing trickery, however, it will be single action.

Exactly, I am trying to get around single acting, and
be able to angle the blade both left and right.

Just hook a two way valve to your single acting remote coupler, and run the return line of your two way back to the resevoir. You'll have two way action as long as the remote is activated.

Consider installing a reversing valve between the tractor spool control and the grader ram. That would be the only way I know how to do it. When you want the cylinder to extend, throw the valve one direction then activate the tractor spool. When you want the cylinder to contract, throw the valve the other way and then activate the tractor spool. You know that AC hydraulics are very high pressure (3000psi) so you'll have to get a good valve. Also, of course, you'll need a double acting ram. McMaster-Carr has some manual reversing valves. So does Northern Tool.

T. Westerfield, Is there another name used for the manual reversing valve you wrote about? I can't seem
to locate one from Northern tool or McMaster on their online catalogs. Thanks
