The original muffler has a metal strap welded near th bottom, with a hole provided to bolt it to the manifold. Some replacements use a U-bolt.

Nelson muffler is the best! There are lots of others that will work. From about 30 feet they all "look" the same. From about any photo of a WD or WD-45, it"s really hard to tell one muffler from another.

Don't settle for anything other than an "Original" Nelson muffler for the old AC's....

The ones from "TSC" sound like crap, compared to the Original Nelson mufflers... Best place I have found is from: "Sandy Lake Implements", Sandylake, Pa. 724-376-2489 [email protected]

Go to your local farm store (TSC, Fleet Farm, Runnings, or your Allis dealer). They cost about $25 and will fit and look exactly like the one that came from the factory.
