Thanks guys.
Our D-19 has a loader on it. It's a nice looking, good running tractor. The only complaint is it has quick couplers. The 3 point is kinda rigged up and it doesn't work quite right.

I had a neighbor who had a gas, then a diesel. The diesel used half the fuel the gas did. If you farmed much that really added up. I ran a gas that had a larger carb and it would use a tank of fuel by noon. WE used to laugh and say that we never missed lunch. That old pumpkin wouldnt let us! We had to go home and refuel. It would burn two tanks a day easy. I swapped out that motor for a diesel out of a 190XT. That gave me live hyd. and put on the 190 3pt. I used the front axle out of the 190 so I could have full hyrostatic steering. Boy that makes a nicer tractor.

To Maddog: Why didn't you keep the 190XT. Three times the Tractor a D19 is.

68 hp if I remember correctly. We had a gas that was dynoing close to 95, boy did it like gas. I think all D-19 gas tractors were tough on fuel.

I've mentioned that on this forum before, seems the gas burns 7 to 8 gallons/hour and the diesel burns 3 to 4 1/2 gals/hr. Definately a powerhouse though!!!

My D-19 gasser sure don"t burn 7-8 gal per hour, 5 is working it real hard! But just keep telling people those gas tails, it keeps the price of D-19"s way down where they are affordable. Runners sell for about $2,000. here in MO. Often half what other D series tractors are bringing. Cheapest horse power to be found.
