Does anyone have tipson getting the pistons un frozen in my allis chalmer.

Take the plugs out and spray PB blaster in every day once or twice. While doing this put a jack under the hand crank and put a little pressure on it (don't try to pick the tractor up by the crank) It took about a week but my B freed up and after a carb rebuild runs great. Good Luck Mike

It depends on how stuck it is I have a 39 B that a little penetrating oil got them moving. If the wall are scored bad and you dont have a problem buying new sleeves and pistons use a sledge hammer and a 1/4 inch piece of steel; if they are really stuck the piston and the sleeve comes out together. If your not taking the sleeves out be careful not to break the seals.

take the plugs out spray penetrating oil in every cylander for a couple of days may take a while.but worked for me.

I had a B that was frozen and I used some PB Blaster then pulled it beheind my Farmall and that broke her free. However in the process I moved the cylinders and it leaked coolant into the oil. So I had to put new "O" rings in. I guess thats the risk you take. Andrew

Better make sure that there isn't any water in any of the cylinders before you put in any penetrating oil. Because the only thing that will happen is you will float your oil on the water. I tried everything to free up a Allis "C" last spring, ended up pulling the head, had about 2 1/2 inches water in one cylinder all the oil was floating on the water. JM2C...Keith

take the plugs out and pour in some WD-40 or automatic trans. fluid and let sit for a dew days then try turning by hand

PUT DIESEL FUEL IN IT FOR A WEEK. AND PULL WITH ANOTHER TRACTOR HIT THE CLUTCH NOT TO HARD IT MIGHT BREAK STUFF BUT WE NEVER DID. WE BUY LOCKED UR TRACTORS AND GET THEM FREE THEN BUILD THEM FOR PULLING

Put some Marvel MAgic Mystery Oil down the spark plug holes and let it set a couple of days, then try to turn the motor by hand a little (not much your just trying to break it free.) Then repeat as many times as needed. This has worked on lots of motors for me in the past, everything from flat-head V-8's, to boat motors, and even a couple of Allis Chalmers.
