i have a wd-45 diesel with a cracked engine block it has one in the side and is cracked in between the cylinder's also how do you fix this problem thx sam

It is a waste of time and money to attempt jury rig fixes with this engine, it needs to be welded and remachined. Most major citys and a lot a smaller ones have a casting repair shop. Some are good, some not so good. Check with a local engine rebuilder or parts supplier as they will know who to use in your area. The 6BD230 engine block and head suffer from a lot of ills including cracking problems, sounds like yours has been froze to boot. It is a rare block that does not need to have the sleeve counter bores reworked. It will probably be cheaper to find an uncracked block and have the counter bores reworked than to have the same work done to yours plus repair the cracks and dont forget to take your head along. Budget $4500 for the complete job, welding, machining, overhaul kit, head work and pump and injectors. Subtract a 1K without fuel system work.
