cleaning a fuel tank

This post propably doesnt belong here but the alternate forum is not working. That said, does anyone have any suggestions for cleaning the inside of a 250-300 gallon fuel tank. I just got one and it has a little but of rust in it. Not anything major but I would like to clean it out a bit. I was used for diesel (still has a little in it)and I think thats what saved it from being nuthing but crud inside. I have been thinking about using some phosphoric acid in it but am unsure. By the way I plan on using it for gas. Thanks for any advice you can give.
