Hi everybody, I want to paint my WD 45 and I needs to know if I will needs more than a gallon. I want to paint ALL the tractor(under the hood, inside the frame rails etc.)I also needs to know what color of primer I need and if I need hi temp paint for the engine

a gallon should cover it good, with a little left over. the paint color is pursian orange #1. or PPG 60080. best bet is to go to the local auto body shop in your town and talk to owner. they probably have 2 or 3 versions of PPG paint. OMNI or MAE are base line, DELSTAR is a top seller. depends on how much $$$ you want to spend. These are automotive quality paints and will not fade. he can recommend a good primer to go with the paint. the paint is o.k. for the motor, frame and sheetmetal. you can paint the exhaust manifold later with a hi temp paint if needed.
