Looking at a 60's HD-3 dozer nad it has a gas engine. Seems most had a diesel and I'm looking for info. Want to use it to clean up some fence rows and level a spot for a pole building then I'll probably sell it. Runs good, U/C seems at 50%, tin is straight, Paint isn't too bad. Has 8' blade with manual angle. What's it worth? Any comments?

The H-3 is the gas model, the HD-3 is the diesel model. They have a lot of parts in common with the D-15 farm tractors. Gas could be 149 or 160 CID. Price under $5000 should be good.

Oops, yes, it is an H3 dozer and thanks for the information. At least the engine parts should be fairly easy to come by(?)

Jim,
Parts are usually pretty easy to find, some things can be a little pricey. Those a good little machines. I have a diesel model, and it has pretty good power. I have heard from others that the gas engine had more power than the diesel (149 or 160), but I've never been around one myself. Hope you can get it, you won't be disappointed. Good luck, and keep us posted!
