Does this tractor (1947) have an adjustment for oil pressure?
Thanks for any help.

I've never adjusted the pressure on a WC but I have on the WD which has pretty much the same engine. Near the dip stick, you'll discover a large plug - looks like a bolt but it is big - 1" to 1 1/4". It has a spring behind it which balances against the oil pressure. You can increase the oil pressure by puting small washers inside this plug. Before adding washers, insure that the relief piston is free. I had one stuck on me once and it caused too much pressure. It could be too little as well if it is stuck open or if the spring is broken. This is a very difficult job because it is hard to work inside the side rail. It's almost bad enough that I was considering taking off the side rail so I could work on it. If the side rail isn't there, it is easy and might take five minutes.
