Distributor Cap and button

I am trying to get the old WD (48) running. I need a new cap and button. I do not think this distributor is the original one for the tractor. The distributor has the numbers 353898R1 and there are traces of red paint on the distributor. Is it possible that this distributor came out of an International tractor? Anyone have a book that I can cross-reference this distributor so that I can get a cap and rotor? Any help would be appreciated.

The distributor is from a Farmall/Innternational Harvester. I have the same distributor on my 49 Allis B. I believe it may have been installed on my tractor when it was converted to 12 volt negative ground. Apparently there was not a lot involved to adapt the Farmall distributor to the Allis B. You can find this distributor listed on this web site. Go to Farmall, parts electrical. The complete distributor is listed. Some parts are available.

Bob,
We do a lot of distributor rebuilding for the AC's, and the popular distributor # that came in the WD series machines was Delco 1111411, & 1111745. On occasions you would find a little later "D" model series distributor in a WD w/number 1112593. These will all interchange, and some in other make tractors also. Don't have my book in front of me to identify what you have, but it looks like a Delco Service replacement # your posting, with the "35,000 series" number and the "R" at the end. I'm not quite sure what button you're referring too. (?)

Take the cap and rotor to the auto parts store. They will be able to match them up for you.
