What is a wide front CA with a 6' arts way belly mower worth? Tractor is painted and looks good but not professionaly restored. No lights, rear tires worn but sound, a few small nusance leaks at pto, engine uses no oil runs good and lots of power. Mower is in good shape, hyd lift. What is this setup worth? Was a municipal machene used to mow and pull a road grader. Thanks

I paid $1550 recently for a narrow front CA with a good aftermarket 3 pt. hitch, 12 volt, new brakes, no smoke, front weights, excellent tires, good sheet metal, original paint, and no implements, and i feel i got a pretty good deal, although i didn't steal it. The 3 pt hitch costs about $400.

Go price a new riding mower, that might help you decide.
I think if you got it for 2000 you did all right.
I got one and i really like it.

its about a $1200 tractor with a $600 deck. maybe $2000 to the right guy. If youget more than that you either waited a long time, or found a city guy that apparently dont know the difference between a tractor and ----- .

My brother and his son did a cosmetic and some mechanicals on a C last summer. It had good rubber and a woods belly mower. They had it painted by a local body shop. They sat it out in front of the house and it brought $3200. Folks are looking for these small tractors now to cut their five acre mini farms. They work great and they are much cheaper than a new tractor. Folks on this web site are used to going to auctions where these tractors are given away, but the folks in the city do not know about these auctions or where to find these tractors. If you sprayed some paint on your CA and tuned her up, I would not be surprised if you could bring $3000 out of the old girl.

Had a long service record with it no shutter and no lights. rough metal with alot of wrong bolts threw in here and there. I bought a 51 about 6 months ago that Im restoring for 850.00 allready stuck about 500.00 in it.still have a grocery list too fill.
