My 1965 b10 tractor has lost power to the rear wheels but the axel still has power and rotats in all gears can any one give helpfull
advice on the subject?

jimbie thanx much for the info on my axel.i dissembled the axel and checked the keyways and keys and i found no problems with any of them. so its on to another idea about what it could be-do you know of any good repair/troubleshooting manuials thanx again mean gene

if youraxel tube is turning and it isnt a sheared key or broken part on the right side, it must be a sheared key on the left. the big tube drives both wheels. the thing on the right is the differential. i cant believe you could strip all of the gears in it!

ac b 10 lawn tractor jimbie-the trouble was in the wheel hub on the differential side of the axel-there are 6 shear pins on the hub holding that gear in place but do to having changed that gear and puting new pins in it about two months befor,i over looked it but its up & running good & plowing snow. thank you very much for the information you gave me it was much appreciated mean gene

if you start taking the right side of the axel apart, i think that you are going to find a sheared key- if you are lucky
