Allis B Oil Pressure Questions

I recently acquired a 1951 B, and just got it running today. The original oil press gauge is long gone, so I was wondering how much pressure I should be seeing in psi during different temps and rpms. Also I wanted to know what kind of oil filter to put on it, brand, and model number.

I did some research here and found some discussion about some filters not working well on this model of tractor.

Thanks

you should have about 15 psi max on a new motor. an old motor might have 5-8 psi when hot. nice to have 10 psi when cold if possible, altho many old motor are running with just a few pounds pressure.--- the filter is FRAM 159 or BALDWIN T300 you can get at farm store or auto store. Try not to get a generic brand like NAPA as it might be made by WIX who is a known problem.---have fun with the B. consider changing out the motor oil, transmission/differential oil, and final drive pan oils soon. get all the old water and crud out before you run it much.
