Allis Chalmers G hydraulically operated cultivator

Hi all-question for you-has anyone ever heard of, seen, or know anything about a cultivator made for the Allis Chalmers G that was sort of like several small rototillers that were driven somehow or another by hydraulics?..at least I am pretty sure they were hydraulically operated. I like the little tractors and would just like to find out more about it-seen one years ago on a website...Thanks in advance...

My father in law has a machine he calls a multivator. It is driven by a six sided shaft about an inch and a half in diameter that connects to a gearbox in the middle and is run by a PTO shaft. The four tiller units on the machine can be put at any spacing to accomodate different row widths and configurations. This is a 3pt unit he runs on his 3020. I'm not sure if the mighty little G could handle it.

Are you thinking of something like the one in the image here? You could operate it hydraulically, but you would need a bigger pump, assuming you have a lift pump. I was thinking of making one and operating it off of belts, similar to how people hook up a woods mower deck to a G. I just haven't found 4 small rototillers with blown engines yet.

Thanks for that photo Chuck-that is somewhat similar although alot newer-if I remember right, the one I saw had 4 sections like the one in your picture, they were about the same size I think, and had metal shields that didn't cover nearly as much as these-but for the life of me I can't remember how the power source was hooked up. I remember thinking at the time that it sure looked like a neat setup and have always wondered about it..just never took the time to post and ask about it...Like you I was thinking of putting something together like that...too many idea's and way too little time!
