I bought an old wd45 gas.Some wd45s i have seen have a key switch ignition in the bottom. Did they originally come out with a key? If so mine dosent and i would like to put one back in it. Is there anywhere i can get a new one?

We have the replacement key switches in stock for the WD's with Distributor Ignition. Might even have a nice used Ammeter panel for a 45 with the hole in the bottom for the key switch to. Drop us a line if interested....

WD tractors had a simple on-off pull switch. WD45 had the key switch on the lower side of the pressed steel box that hooked onto the battery box. Check with an AGCO dealer for a replacement.

The switch is simply an on/off switch to control the ignition. You should be able to pick one up at the local tractor supply store or auto parts store.

WDs and 45s had a key switch on the little panel on the back of the battery box, along with the normal/high charge switch, and traction booster gauge. Have you tried AGCO?
