I recently bought a mounted cultivator for a WC it has the lever lift. It has the coil spring shanks also. Are these rare or valueble? I am wanting to convert it to 3 point and use it for a tool bar for 2 of my Allis planter units and also use it for my garden cultivator. Is this some rare or valueble iron? I would really like to know before I do anything with it. Thanks

Are you sure your cultivater is for a WC? It sounds more like maybe for a C maybe a B. We had one for a WC, the coil spring shanks were very common in our area. The lever lift is what throws me. The WC used a clutch type lift, and the C used a hyd. lift, altho a hand lift could have been available. The levers on the WC were used to set the depth of work. The Wc culti didn't have a tool bar so to speak but the C did.

Oh ok thanks for the info. It has two levers one on each side. It has a framework that is about 2 and ahalf foot wide and about 5 foot long that is the hitch. I dont know how it would attach. Is it worth anything?

I would say it's getting tiresome to see bare tractors at the shows. Therefore, correct implements and attachments are going to become more valuable. You might not sell it right away, because so many people hesitate about the travel distance, etc. But once it's gone, it's gone forever. I paid close to $200 for a cultivator for a C Allis. On the other hand, I got one for my CA for only $40.00. Recently, steel has gone pretty high, so figure what you'd have to pay to buy the material and build from scratch. My brother cut up a field cultivator for a snap coupler D17 that he used to make a 3pt hitch.

Now I think you have a mounted cultivater for a WC. The two bars you speak of about two and a half ft. apart should be the framework that everything else is attached to in one way or another. If there is a hole in the end of the square tubes [frame] by the handels, that is for pins to drop in to brackets mounted on the tractor by the brake levers. The front crossover bar slides into yokes mounted on the front of the tracter. Unless you have a pile of parts 'mounting brackets, powerlift attachment for the tracter and the cultivater, and the rear wheel scratcher's, you don't have much of value, if you have everything needed it certainly would be a very nice show or parade unit.
