Hi I have seen some of the front rims on Allis Chalmers C painted silver. Are the supposed to be painted silver, or are they just supposed to be Orange? Thanks for the help.

Thanks,
Aaron Holleran

Hello Rusty, As you can see from my picture in your email I went with the original color scheme. Choice is yours on how you want to paint the rims. I kinda liked the silver but decided to stay as close ot original as possible. I have been experimenting with Amorite Silver paint, it is the closest to looking like galvanized. JMO...Keith

No silver on front rims origanally. Rear rims were galvanized thus, silver colored. The front rims look better however, painted silver. The tractor looks un-balanced with the whole wheel painted orange. You have my permission to paint them silver. I painted my rims silver and they look great.

paint them as you wish. the original B and C tractors ALL had orange front rims. The D series after that had cream. There were no silver front rims back then.
