I used m&w pistons and turned .250 off the top,and removed the round boss from the inside of the dish. Changed the intake valves to g,m. 2.060 dia. use comebine gov, weights.the pto broke at about 77 hp. on pump gas This motor has held up good for me. If you use a flat top piston, .750 or 3/4 inch from the top of cyl. and use high test gas.

You can get high compression pistons that are flat top, if that is any help. No idea on how to figure out compression.

The piston is dished, no idea what lengthening the stroke by 1/2 inch would do to the compression, but Head gaskets and head bolts might be a problem for longevity if you use stock pistons.
