I have a WD 45 with a trip bucket loader. I'm hoping to find some of the snap coupler attachments (even though I have a 3 pt too), and power steering! I would like to be able to use my loader and my rear lift arms independently. My loader operates off of a "T" splice in line with the hose to the rear lift arms. I also have two additional ports underneath the seat to which nothing is hooked up. I have had some people say yes I can with major modifications like adding an external pump, some say I can just add a valve, and some say no. I'm new to the tractor game, and I love my tractor. I'd just really like some kind of a better answer than that! Is it possible? How so? Please help. Thanks.

I used the Model S-50 splitter from Force America. 1 port in and 2 out. About $50. 800-328-2732. Works great on my WD with loader and backblade set-up. Jaye(Mn)

My inline valves work very well but the hyd won't lift what it use to. I think the valves are bleading off the extra psi. I started a webpage for my wd45 you can take a look at

Thanks for your help! I do have the shop manual...I had just "misplaced" it. But it's now found. I agree, it's a very valuable tool to have. Right now my loader is plumbed as follows: There are 3 ports from the tractor pump. The port on the right side goes to the right rear life arm. One of the ports on the left side goes to the left lift arm. The third port, the second one on the left side, goes to one of the couplers under the seat. The loader is actually operating off of this port. I have another coupler underneath my seat that I don't know it's function. It routes to a hole next to the hydraulic fluid dipstick. What's that one for? Is there a better way to route my hydraulic hoses? I have yet to look at the book, and I will do that when I get home. Thanks again!

The second coupler with the hose going back to the dipstick area is a return line for a two-way cylinder. Previous owner may have hooked a two-way valve into the other coupler.

I put a splitter valve on mine. I mounted it at the end of the hydraulic pipe that goes out the back under the seat. There is one port going into the splitter and two going out. One hose going out goes over the axel and down under by the pump and tees off, one to each loader cylinder. Out of the other port I used a short pipe and a tee and ran a hose to each of the cylinders for the 3 point. When I want the loader to move I pull the knob on the splitter up, and when I want to use the 3 point, I position the loader where I want it and push the knob down and the loader stays put and the three point functions. It works good for what I use it for and I don"t have to leave the seat to change from front to back.

You should have two hoses, one feeding each lift arm. There is a third port on top of the pump valve, where the two lift arm hoses attach. Use that third port to feed your two loader lift cylinders, via a T in that system. Normally a single hydraulic coupler which gets installed under the seat is plumbed to that third port. If you hav e two couplers there, how are they fed? Put a shutoff valve in that third line. When you need the lift arms, raise the loader where you want it and shut off the valve to hold it at that height. Then the lift arms can be used separately. Other options are a front mount hydraulic pump with its own resevoir and valves, or the pto hydraulic pump. The operator manual shows the ports and the remote coupler setup. If you are new to tractors, you should have that book for this and many other reasons.

Not knowing how the 2 connectors under your seat are plumbed in I really can"t say anything at all about them. However here is what you can do with your line to the rear lift cylinders. Put a shut off valve in each line just past the T. This way you can shut off either line, or both for that matter. Raise the loader a little and then close the valve. The loader will stay put where it is and now you can use the rear lift. Raise the rear implement and close the valve to it and you can open the valve to the loader and use it. If you use valves with 90 or 180 degree through it"s not as cumbersome as it sounds.

The best way is to add a pump to the front pulley. 2nd best way a pump on pto -- sown side it wont work if foot clutch is pushed in. It would be possible to add a spool valve inline between the original hydraulics and the rams. Leave the original hydraulic in lift position and use the spool to control both rams and bucket. Downside-- not that good on tractor pump to run all the time, slow lift on a bucket, and if you overload it the tractor hydraulics will trip and and you have to move the original control lever to the down position and back up again before you can use it. Another down side is that hydraulic psi is too high for some spools.
