HI i am restoring a 1950 Allis C, and I am about to the point to where I need to put decals on. I have the decals but since the tractor didn"t have visual decals when I started I don"t know where to put them. So if someone has a diagram that i can use so I can know where the decal placement is supposed to be. That would be great, I am doing this for a 4H project. Any help would be appreciated.

If you need any other info on decal placement email me and I will see if I have the information in my files. OH, the Change Filter Every 100 Hours decal goes on the oil filter base just below the screw-on filter.

I found this information in the archieves last year while restoring a "C" myself.
HTH...Keith
Hood Decal- The hood decal is simply the words "ALLIS CHALMERS" placed above the strengthening bead on the hood sides. Should be centered from front to back, ( 4 inches behind the front of the hood and inch above the hood bead ).

The C decal was actually never used by Allis. Newer sets come with them and many collectors use them.
If you choose to use it, it should go just in front of the bottom bolt that holds the hood in place about inch in front of the seam. The center of the C should be at the same level as the bolt. The radiator crank decal goes just under the handle for the crank. The PTO guard decal goes 1 inches in from the inside lip of the shield. The oil filter decal was really printed on every filter. A small one Drain Here and at Radiator goes under the block drain tube where it will not be hit with water from the drain.

Air filter Decal- the air filter had two decals, one on the canister and one on the cup. The cup decal should be placed such that the ends of the arrows point to the creased lined the represents the maximum fill mark. The canister decal is placed to the outside with its top edge centered between the sheet metal bead towards the top and the bottom the point where the cup clips on).

Battery Decal- The battery decal is placed on the battery box lid centered front and back and with the top
Lined centered on an imaginary line between the sides ( Thus the decal is off to the left ). It should be readable when standing on the left side of the tractor.
