How hard is it to rebuild the carb on a B, and what is the best thing to use to clean it out. It is by far the nastiest looking one on the inside I have seen. I have ordered a carb kit and am looking for pointers. Thanks.

We do a lot of carb rebuilding especially on the AC machines because we specialize in AC. I've gotten some carbs from customer's that are pretty nasty inside from water in the fuel etc. The first thing we do is dip them if they're all painted up. This removes all paint and grease. I then wash them down, and they go into the Glassbeader. A Glassbeader is the best thing to have for any carbs especially the old cast iron Zeniths and Marvels. The main thing you want to do is get those lower passages free of rust and crud so the enrichment and idle circuits are clear for proper carb operation and adjustments. Not everyone has a beader, but it sure does a great job. They look like new when they're done...

Its not to bad to rebuild I use Berrymans Chem-dip to clean then in. Most parts store will have it in a bucket with a basket to soak the parts in.
