Hand Clutch NEED HELP!!!

We have a 1952 Allis Chalmers CA pretty little tractor, just about a week ago we bought a hand lever for the hand clutch and when i went to give it a pull it didnt budge!! Anyone have any ideas whats wrong we have a breck down but looks a little complicated. Wondering if it just looks scary or if it really is any and all help will be greatly appreicated!! Thanks for your time!

Didn't some people weld them solid rather than repair them? Might need to disassemble to find out.

When I got mine, it was the same way. They use steel balls and ramps to release the clutch. After years of not being used, this gets so full of grime it won't work right. It is a clutch so something else inside could get frozen as well. The IT manual provides a pretty good description for dissassembly and reassembly. Be a pretty easy job with an engine hoist. You'll need a hoist of some kind. The axel is heavy. I took mine apart and got it to work again with no new parts.
