will a 149 cu in engine fit into a c a without big time changes? thank you in advance

Yes! You will have to use the flywheel and clutch assembly from the CA. The four studs from the front of the CA engine should work fine in the 149 ci D engine. The four holes in the 149 engine are NC 5/8". If you still have a CA engine they will be the same. The B"s and C"s have NC 1/2" taped holes to mount the front end fast. What ever you have the 149 will need the NC 5/8" stepped down to NF 1/2" studs. If I remember correctly you will have a little messing around with the radiator hoses to do. I am not real sure but I think the 149 has a larger hose.
I started to put one in my C but changed my mind because of the pulling rules. I think the feller I sold the block to did put it into a C. He used to post here, if he checks in he might join in with the total skinny.
