what is the difference in Power steering units?

I have seen posts about factory power steering and after char lynn power steering units. What is the diffence and how hard are either to find? How much would I expect to pay?

I assume you are talking about the WD/WD45 tractors. The factory unit is larger and has the resevoir mounted in the hood. The Charlynn has the pump/resevoir as one unit mounted above the water pump. I haven't driven one with factory p/s, but have a Charlynn on a WD and it is sweet! I think they are about $400 for a Charlynn and $600 for factory. The factory PS on a WD-45 is as smooth as silk. Had a D-17 with an add-on unit. It was smooth as silk! Got a series III with factory PS. It's ok. not silk.
