3rd gear jumping out is a problem on the 180-200 number series of AC tractors. IF you can do the work yourself it can be fixed fairly economically. The hired labor will shock you for about 25 - 30 hours at the dealers shop. it's not terribly complicated to replace the gears and can be gotten aftermarket.
Running rough, A good place to statrt is; have you changed fuel filter and drained the sediment bowl lately? It can be that simple or may be as much as needing injection pump or fuel nozzle (S) repairs.
