I am wanting to try and buy a speed patrol out of the weeds from a guy and was wondering what you guys think I should offer on it. It hasn't moved for about 5 years, the metal is good but rusty, tires are shot, and the engine is presumed stuck (couldn't get around to the front to check it) It is complete though and someone that knows the tractor said it ran good when it was parked(5 years ago). So if anybody could give me a rough estimate I would appreciate it. Usually don't ask about stuff like this but I'm a John Deere and oliver guy and never messed with Allis stuff much.

The spped patrol used a WC/WD engine, I use one off and on all the time for my drive. From what you say I'd start at $300 you can always go up but never back down, Id also start by asking him what he wants for it you might be surprised and it will be less then what you where thinking. Or at least you will know where he whats to start out at.

I've seen them priced from 1800 to 4500 in various conditions of running and decent looking. I sold a nice one this year, that had great rubber and ran great and needed paint for 2200. Some dreamer on ebay has one listed for 12K. But in your condition I'd day not more than 1200 , course I'd start around 550 and see where he crowds ya ? or post wanted ads to see what you're offered ? may be cheaper to get one that way than root around for that one ? unless there's some attachment to that one ? and take a good look at the rear rims, very hard to come by if they are rusted thru. And that it has the tag on the right side of the frame, which makes a difference to a collector. hth Mike

Thanks for the advice and info. There is no real attachment to this particular tractor nor one like it. I just hate to see something like that set in the weeds and rot. Thanks and have a nice day.
