I have a 45. What can i do to the engine to increase the hp? I have heard of d-17 kit. What kind of head work do I need done? governor spring? carb? ignition? to become competive. Does any one know where I can get smaller ligther front wheels to fit my 45?

In all my time as a puller, I've never found horsepower to be the issue. The big plus is in knowing how to weight the tractor and how to set the drawbar. These needs vary from track to track, but I doubt you will run out of horsepower with a WD45 before you run out of traction or lighten the front too much.

make a custom hitch as close to the tractor as possible, and as high as the club rules allow.
