I am rebuilding a WD w/a Sticker Power Grater.
Any info about a Power Grater or where I might find some info would be appreciated.

The 'Power-Crater' term was used to describe the new style engine in the WD45, as opposed to the factory WD engine. It referred to the concave top of the piston in the bigger engine of the WD45. I think the WD had a 201 cubic inch engine, while the WD45 had a 226, due to a larger bore and longer stroke. There were rebuild kits available to put into the WD, and they had a bigger bore, and concave top pistons- thus they were referred to as 'Power-Crater' engines. Stickers are like decals- they mean squat unless the change has also been made in the engine.

Bennie,
at the upper left of the page you're now looking at, click on AllisChalmers (white lettering)
On the Allis Chalmers page click into the search window towards the upper right.
Type in Power Crater Engine
You'll see about 118 entries on it. Just start reading.
The Power Crater Engine came out on the WD45 and was part of design changes from the WD to add horsepower. The tops of the pistons were dished to help in combustion...hence the "Power Crater"
