wd 45 valve cover leaking

What is the secret to a non leaking valve cover. I have installed new neopreme gasket, sealed both surfaces with high tech sealant, checked that cover is not warped, but it still leaks...

Any sure fire solutions out there..

You probably are tightening it too much. If so, it'll squeeze the gasket out from under the bolt holes, and the gasket ends up out of the joint. Use a cork gasket, glue it to the valve cover with window trim adhesive, and seal it down with a real thin coat of permitex. I gave up on silicone on this location.

IMPORTANT--follow the directions on the window trim adhesive TO THE "T"! It will hold and seal well if you do.

Neil, can't say that I've experienced this problem. You may be torqueing the screws so much that you're distorting the cover. You are probably using one of the new rubber gaskets. If you can find one of the cork gaskets, they offer some compliance (but are never reuseable).
