Last week I visited two great tractor slavage yards (precious metal). The first was MILLER REPAIR, P.O.Box 89, Maxwell, NE 69151, phone 308-582-4303. It is just off I-80 on old US 30 2 miles west of Maxwell in western Nebraska. Very accomodating and fair. I picked up 4 John Deere A parts that are "unavailable" for $35!!!Then I stopped at SROMP'S DUMP at Spalding, NE 68665, Phone 308-497-2211. This is the yard Roger Welsch made popular as his old Allis Chalmers supplier. Stomp has 17 acres of tractors piled three high in places, 1/2 mile of old threshing machines, combines etc. This is just adjoining the Sandhill of Nebraska where the Allis Chalmers were very popular as haying equipment. These are Nebraska's No. 1 and 2 best attractions. Maybe Pioneer village at Minden comes in third contrary to their advertising, they say No. 1! But, you tractor guys need to see Pioneer Village too!!!! When I am reincarnated I'm going to have one of those yards, they have been forewarned.
