Can any one help ?
My Father in law has an Allis chalmers ib which was made approx 1948-50 it has been restored is fully working and is in show condition.
The trouble is he is having difficulty finding out any information about it.
He is especially interseted in how much it is worth as his health is not that good any more and could be looking to sell it.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Allis didn't make all that many, around a couple thousand. It's one of the more collectible Allis ,if it's a true industrial B, and value will be tied to condition and location. Depending on how close you are to someone that really wants it. All bring 1500 range and one as nice as you say maybe top end of 4000 ? get a picture and put it on the photo classifieds on this site with best offer and that will be a great indicator to value. I take it that 1500-4000 is dollars?
And would that mean that being as I live in England it would make this a bit rarer.

Yep, that was dollars I was talking about. I can't venture any guesses what yours in england is worth. You should find and contact any local tractor or equipment clubs near you to find some folks that can give you a better local value. Mike

Mike
Thanks for the advice.
Do you know anymore about the ib as my father in law beleives that they were used on aircraft carriers to move the planes about.
