I posted last week on my generator not charging.
I replaced the old gen and cutout switch. I checked the connections in the box and everything seems to be wired correctly. I ran a new grounding screw thru the box to the battery case. When I pull the light switch the lights come on and the ameter goes to 10. Nothing in the other 2 positions. Is there any thing else, other than the light switch that would cause this. I'd like to order a new switch, but hate the thought of wasting my money if it's possible to something else.

with the switch off, the ground for the "F" wire is thru the resistor on the back of the switch. you could jumper across the resistor and see that it then charges, you could put a resistor across the old resistor and see that it then charges, or you could measure the resistance across the resistor and see that it is no good.---- i think the resistor is bad if it charges in the "on" position and not in the "off" position.
