This is late i know as I see you posted over a week ago bu still. Check the switch for the ignition. We had a G that was running for about that long just last week. Went through he carb three times, changed all the points plugs, etc. Finally we were at wits end when i grabbed the switch after starting it and held it back (Hove no clue why) and the little tractor run forever. Changed it ou and works great now!

So Joe, is it running now or just for those 6 seconds? I never ask you if you've cleaned out the carb?..... heres something to keep in mind, now that you have had it running, and even though you've had 2 new sets of new sparkplugs in it, sometimes with all the ether, gas ,oil, carb cleaner ect. , that it takes to get an engine going, it can foul one or 2 plugs (even though they look good)...and if one plug fouls, sometimes the spark will jump in the cap and go to another plug, especially if the timing is'nt set perfect yet.....I would set the timing with a timing light, use your 12v battery to hook up to.....if its getting to frustrating take a break, sometimes they will fire right up after setting a day or two(probobly due to fouling and flooding)....

Per the posts below, I put some oil in the jugs, she fought me and kicked all the way, but finally got her running. Still a little off, but a exhaust headache never felt so good. Since we were on the subject of painting, Im a crapy mechanic, but do some custom Harley paint jobs in my spare time. Im not looking to do much prep work, but if some of the local guys need tractors sprayed, Id be happy to help ya out.

Sounds like she's being stuborn. I would leave the project for a few days. Then go through and check things from the begining. Fuel, spark, ect... I find I miss things when I get frustrated. GOOD LUCK
